Installation (With Existing Suction Screen - All Models)

  1. Insert the Suction Screen Kit Sizing Tool into the suction hose to select the correct size suction screen. See Figure.
  2. Insert the suction screen into the suction hose. Install the Mandrel. See Fig 1.
    3. NOTE: Correct placement of suction screen is critical.
  3. Install the suction screen installation tool over the end of the suction hose and the suction screen. See Fig 2. Tighten the forcing screw. The suction screen is fully installed when the screen is flush with the end of the suction hose.
  4. Remove the suction screen tool from the suction hose. Replace the seal washers. See SEALING WASHER . Install the A/C compressor hose assembly to the A/C compressor.
  5. Install the A/C compressor hose assembly bolt. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. See RECOVERY/EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Leak test the fittings of the component using a Leak Detector.
