Removal (Auxiliary - Avalanche, Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe & Yukon)

Recover the refrigerant from the system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove the auxiliary A/C evaporator tubes from the condenser tube and the accumulator. See Fig 1. Loosen the right front wheelhouse to gain access to the clamp behind the wheelhouse.
Raise the vehicle. Remove the retaining nut and the auxiliary A/C evaporator tubes from the auxiliary HVAC module. See Fig 2.
Remove the heater/A/C tubes retaining nut from the stud at the frame. Remove the auxiliary A/C evaporator tubes from the clamps. See Fig 3. Remove the auxiliary A/C evaporator tubes from the vehicle.
