Installation (6.6L With Denso - 3500 HD, Cab & Chassis, Sierra, Silverado)

Add the proper amount of PAG oil to the compressor crankcase. See SPECIFICATIONS . Install the A/C compressor drain plug. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the A/C compressor. Install the A/C compressor mounting bolts. See Figure. Tighten to specification. Connect the electrical connection. Install the A/C discharge hose to the compressor using new sealing washers. Install the A/C discharge hose bolt to the A/C compressor. Tighten to specification.
Install the A/C suction hose to the compressor using new sealing washers. Install the A/C suction hose bolt to the A/C compressor. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the drive belt. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. See RECOVERY/EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Leak test the fittings of the component using a Leak Detector.
