Removal & Installation (KS 2)

  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Raise the vehicle. Remove the bolts from the splash shield. Drain the cooling system. Remove the bolts from the KS heat shield located under the freeze plug. See Fig 1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the knock sensor. Remove the KS from the engine block.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the KS and KS heat shield bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the KS electrical connector. Lower the vehicle. Fill the cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING  under COOLING SYSTEM.
