Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

Turn OFF the ignition. Partially drain the cooling system to below the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. See Figure. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
