Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Installation

  1. Ensure to point the arrow on the MAF/IAT sensor away from the air cleaner box. Install the MAF/IAT sensor. Tighten the MAF/IAT sensor clamp at the air cleaner box to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the MAF/IAT sensor. Tighten the air cleaner resonator outlet duct clamp at the MAF/IAT sensor to specification. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector.


  1. Ensure to point the arrow on the MAF/IAT sensor away from the air cleaner box. Install the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner assembly. Tighten the MAF/IAT clamp to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector. Push in the Gray CPA retainer. Install the cleaner resonator outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER RESONATOR OUTLET DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.


  1. Locate the air flow direction arrow on the MAF/IAT sensor. Install the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner assembly. Tighten the MAF/IAT clamp to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector. Install the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER RESONATOR OUTLET DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
