Fuel Composition Sensor (Flex-Fuel): Installation

  1. If required, install the fuel composition sensor to the bracket and install the bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the fuel composition sensor. Install the fuel composition sensor nuts and tighten to specification. Connect the fuel composition sensor electrical connector.
  3. Connect the fuel composition sensor fuel pipes. See FUEL LINE DISCONNECT FITTINGS  under FUEL SYSTEMS.
  4. Install the fuel line retainers. Lower the vehicle. Use the following procedure in order to inspect for leaks: Turn the ignition on, with the engine off, for 2 seconds. Turn the ignition off for 10 seconds. Turn the ignition on, with the engine off. Inspect for fuel leaks.
  5. Install the engine sight shield. See ENGINE SIGHT SHIELD  under MISCELLANEOUS.
