Idle Air Control Valve (4.3L): Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER RESONATOR OUTLET DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
  2. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve harness connector. IAC valve is located on driver's side of throttle body unit. See Figure. Remove IAC valve mounting screws. Remove IAC valve and "O" ring from throttle body unit.
