Fuel Sender Assembly: Installation

NOTE: Fuel pump strainer must be in a horizontal position when installing fuel tank sending unit into fuel tank. Ensure fuel pump strainer does not block the travel of the fuel sensing unit float arm.
  1. Clean fuel sending unit sealing area. Install NEW fuel sending unit "O" ring onto the fuel tank opening. Lower fuel tank sending unit into fuel tank. Install fuel sending unit assembly retaining ring using Retaining Ring Remover/Installer (J-44402).
  2. Connect the fuel lines to the sending unit, if required. Reinstall fuel tank. See FUEL TANK .
