Powertrain Control Module: Installation

  1. Install PCM to bracket. Secure PCM spring latch. Connect harness connectors to PCM. Tighten PCM harness connector bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install PCM cover. Connect harness ground to clip attached to the PCM cover (if equipped). If equipped with the Allison transmission, install the engine harness clip to the PCM cover. Reconnect negative battery cable. If NEW PCM has been installed, PCM MUST be programmed. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE  under PROGRAMMING.
