Removal (8.1L)

CAUTION:
Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness in order to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type. Cover or plug any openings when servicing the throttle body in order to prevent possible contamination.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER RESONATOR OUTLET DUCT .
- Disconnect Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) motor harness connector. See Figure. Remove throttle body retaining nuts. Remove throttle body flange gasket and discard.
