Removal (4.8L, 5.3L & 6.0L)

CAUTION:
Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness in order to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Partially drain cooling system into suitable container. Remove engine sight shield. See ENGINE SIGHT SHIELD under MISCELLANEOUS.
- Remove the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER RESONATOR OUTLET DUCT . Disconnect Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) motor harness connector.
- Reposition the coolant air bleed hose clamp at the throttle body. Disconnect engine coolant air bleed hose from throttle body. Remove throttle body mounting nuts. Remove throttle body. Remove throttle body flange gasket and discard.
