Vehicle On A Hoist

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect scan tool to data link connector located under left side of dash. Turn ON the ignition. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  . Raise vehicle on hoist to a comfortable working height, keeping scan tool outside of vehicle and accessible from under the car. Disconnect fuel feed line at outlet to filter (3/8" line).
  2. Install 3/8" x 1/4" quick-connect adapter from Fuel Flow/Pressure Adapter (SA9127E-7) into fuel feed line. Connect a suitable drain hose to the other end of adapter, and connect the drain hose to a certified fuel handling cart. Energize the fuel pump using the scan tool. Pump out fuel until no more than 1/4 tank remains.
