Additional Inspections

Check the transmission Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) operation. A TCC applying too soon can cause the engine to spark knock. Go to appropriate DIAGNOSIS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
Check the A/C clutch for proper operation. Go to appropriate MANUAL A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS article in HVAC.
