Leaf Spring Bushing: Installation

  1. Apply rubber lubricant to the bushing and spring eye.
  2. Place the leaf spring in a press. Press the bushing into spring eye. See Figure .
  3. Install the leaf spring assembly to the vehicle. See LEAF SPRING  . Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Remove the safety stands.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
