Removal & Installation: Radiator: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Saturn Vue and 2002 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the radiator seals. Clip the transaxle oil cooler, if equipped, and condenser to the radiator. Install the fan assembly by guiding the lower tabs of the fan assembly into the corresponding radiator hooks. Install the fan assembly to radiator bolts. Install the lower radiator pins into the cradle brackets. See Figure.
  2. Install the upper CRFM bracket assemblies. See Figure. Install the radiator lower hose. Position the clamp at 5 o'clock. Install the radiator upper hose. Position the clamp at 6 o'clock. Install the condenser splash shield. Install the battery box inlet air duct.
    NOTE: The White line on the lower transmission cooler hose should be installed at the 12 o'clock position.
  3. Clip the transmission cooler lines to the fan assembly. Clip the engine wire harness to fan assembly. Connect the fan motor to engine harness.
  4. Install front bumper cover in reverse of removal procedure, if removed.
  5. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING . Check for coolant leaks.
