Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the air deflector. Remove the oil filter adaptor. Disconnect connector of the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor to be removed. See Figure . Remove the CKP sensor retaining bolt. Remove the CKP sensor. Inspect the CKP sensor "O" ring for wear or damage. If a problem is found, replace the "O" ring.
