Removal & Installation

  1. Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump is located under front left side of vehicle. See Fig 1 . Raise and support vehicle. Remove the retaining screws from the front portion of the left front wheel well/splash shield. Lower the splash shield far enough to gain access to the AIR pump assembly.
  2. Loosen and lower the AIR outlet hose pinch clamp. Remove the AIR inlet hose from the AIR pump. Disconnect the AIR pump electrical connector. Remove the upper AIR pump to cradle bolt. Lift up and pull out the pump in order to remove the AIR pump from the cradle bracket.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten air pump bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
