EGR Valve: Removal

Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector. See Figure . Remove the EGR valve retaining nuts and bolts. Remove the EGR valve. Clean the EGR valve mounting surface. Inspect the EGR passages in the crossover water pump housing for deposits. Clean the EGR passages as needed. See EGR SYSTEM CLEANING .
