Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

Turn ignition off. Drain coolant below level of Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor into a suitable container. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE COVER  under MISCELLANEOUS. Disconnect ECT sensor harness connector. ECT sensor is located at left rear of cylinder head. See Fig 1 . Carefully remove ECT sensor.
