Throttle Body: Removal

- Turn ignition off. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE COVER under MISCELLANEOUS. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner outlet duct from throttle body. Remove air cleaner outlet duct adapter stud.
- Disconnect accelerator control cable from throttle shaft. See Figure . Disconnect cruise control cable from throttle shaft (if equipped). See Figure . Remove transmission fluid filler tube-to-accelerator control cable bracket retaining bolt. Remove accelerator control cable bracket and position aside.
- Disconnect IAC valve and TP sensor harness connectors from throttle body. See Figure . Remove throttle body retaining studs. Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. See Figure . Remove flange gasket and discard.
