Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Coat the lifters with prelube GM P/N 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or equivalent.
  2. Install the lifters to the same location from which they were removed.
  3. Install the lifter guides.
  4. Install the lifter guide bolts.

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 in lbs)

  5. Install the intake manifold oil splash shield

  6. Install the valve rocker arms and pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  7. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement - Upper .
