Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor: Installation

  1. Inspect the MAP sensor seal for damage. Replace the seal if necessary. Lightly coat the MAP sensor seal with clean engine oil before installing the sensor. Install the MAP sensor. Push down the sensor in order to engage the sensor into the retainer. See Figure. Connect the MAP sensor harness connector.
  2. Position the PCV hose assembly for reassembly. Insert the PCV hose assembly to the mounting brackets. Install the PCV hose to the right cylinder bank port. Install the PCV hose to the throttle body. Install the PCV heat exchange cable nut.
  3. Tighten the PCV heat exchange cable nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the fuel rail. See FUEL RAIL & INJECTORS . Install the fuel rail assembly.
