Removal & Installation

  1. The Knock Sensors (KS) are located underneath the intake manifold. See Fig 1. Remove the intake manifold. See appropriate article in ENGINES.
  2. Remove the KS wiring harness assembly. Remove the KS from the engine block. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten KS to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Check if keyless entry transmitters function properly. If transmitters do not function properly, reprogram transmitters. See KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER SYNCHRONIZATION  under PROGRAMMING.
