Left/Right Muffler: Installation

CAUTION: When inspecting or replacing exhaust system components, make sure there is adequate clearance from all points on the underbody to prevent overheating of the floor pan and possible damage to the passenger compartment insulation and trim materials.
  1. Install the muffler. Slide the muffler blade into the hanger. See Fig 2. Install a NEW exhaust muffler gasket. Install the exhaust muffler bolts. Tighten muffler bolts to specification. TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Position the rear stabilizer shaft upwards. Install the rear stabilizer shaft insulator and bracket. Install the rear stabilizer shaft bracket bolt and nut. Tighten the rear stabilizer shaft bracket bolt and nut to specification. See Fig 1.
