Transmission Support: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the fuel tank shield.
  3. Remove the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister from its mounting bracket. DO NOT disconnect the canister lines.
  4. Support the transmission with a transmission jack.
  5. Remove the transmission mount-to-transmission support retaining nuts. See Fig 1 .
  6. Remove the lower transmission support-to-frame mounting bolts. See Fig 2 .
  7. Remove the upper transmission support-to-frame mounting bolts. See Fig 3 .
  8. Remove the transmission support from the frame.
