Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe (VIN 6 - 5.3L): Installation

- Install the transmission oil cooler lines to the vehicle.
- Install the transmission cooler lines to the transmission. See OIL COOLER LINES QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS .
- Connect the rear cooler lines (2) to the front cooler lines (1). See Figure .
- Install the cooling line ends (3) to the transmission. See Figure and OIL COOLER LINES QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS .
- Raise the transmission into position.
- Install the front exhaust pipe assembly.
- Install the transmission support. See TRANSMISSION SUPPORT .
- Remove the transmission jack.
- Install the clip that holds the cooler lines together.
- Install the cooler lines to the retainer (2) located on the right side of the engine.
- Install the front sections of the cooler lines to the vehicle.
- Install the cooler lines to the retainer located on the radiator shroud.
- Connect the front and rear cooler lines at the quick connect fitting.
- Install the cooler lines (4 and 5) to the radiator. See Fig 1 and OIL COOLER LINES QUICK CONNECT FITTINGS .
- Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill transmission with appropriate fluid to proper level. See LUBRICATION .
