Test Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The numbers below refer to the step numbers in the diagnostic procedure.

  1. - This step tests if the concern is active. You should hear a clicking sound when the HPL solenoid is commanded ON and OFF. Repeat the commands as necessary.
  2. - The AF Lock-Off fuse also supplies voltage to the Low Pressure Lock-Off (LPL) solenoid. An open circuit between the AF Lock-Off fuse and the splice will cause P2665 to also set.
  3. - This step verifies that the PCM is providing ground to the HPL solenoid.
  4. - This step tests if a ground is constantly being applied to the HPL solenoid.
