Drive Sprocket & Turbine Shaft: Inspection

  1. Inspect driven sprocket and drive sprocket for the following:
    • Worn or chipped teeth.
    • Uniform teeth size.
    • Stripped or damaged splines.
    • Bearing surface damage.

    Replace components as necessary. See Figure and Figure .

  2. Inspect 4th clutch shaft, driven sprocket and drive sprocket thrust washers for wear or cracks.
  3. Inspect turbine shaft for a cracked sleeve, damaged bushing journals or stripped or damaged splines. Replace components as necessary.
