Transaxle Oil Cooler Line Seals: Removal

  1. Place drain pan or suitable container under vehicle.
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. Clean the cooler line connection points at the transaxle.
  4. Remove transaxle oil cooler line assembly nut from transaxle. See Figure .
  5. Remove transaxle oil cooler lines from transaxle. See TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER LINE ASSEMBLY  .
  6. Insert the Cooler Line Seal Remover (J-45201) collet (2) into the cooler line seal. See Fig 1 .
  7. Insert the cooler line seal remover forcing screw (1) into the collet (2).
  8. Tighten the forcing screw (1) until snug.
  9. Thread the cooler line seal remover collar (1) onto the collet (3). See Fig 2 .
  10. Turn the collar clockwise in order to remove the seal from the case bores. See Fig 3 .
  11. Discard the seal.
  12. Clean the cooler line seal case bores.
