Control Valve Body: Installation

  1. Install NEW spacer plate assembly on transaxle case assembly.
  2. Install control valve body assembly on transaxle case assembly. See Figure .
  3. Secure control valve body assembly to transaxle case assembly with 3 silver bolts. See Figure . Tighten 3 silver bolts in sequence shown to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Secure control valve body assembly to transaxle case assembly with 15 Black bolts. See Figure . Tighten Black bolts in the following 3 separate steps in sequence shown:
    • Tighten to 44 INCH. lbs. (5 N.m).
    • Tighten to 89 INCH. lbs. (10 N.m).
    • Tighten to 124 INCH. lbs. (14 N.m)
    NOTE: Note orientation of manual valve before connecting manual valve link assembly.
  5. Connect manual valve link assembly to manual valve.
  6. Install the manual shaft detent assembly and bolt on the control valve body assembly. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Connect the connector for the input and output speed sensor assembly to the control valve body assembly.
  8. Slide the grey locking clip in order to lock the connector in place.
  9. Install valve body cover assembly. See CONTROL VALVE BODY COVER  .
