Compressor Hose: Removal

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATING & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
  2. Remove the coolant recovery or the surge tank. Remove the air cleaner from the vehicle. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the accumulator. See Figure.
  3. Remove the auxiliary hose connection from the compressor hose assembly. See Fig 1. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the condenser.
  4. Remove the compressor hose assembly bolt from the compressor. See Fig 2. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the compressor.
  5. Cap or plug all open connections to prevent contamination. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the vehicle.
