Test A: Air Delivery Improper

NOTE: For circuit reference, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and/or WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. If diagnostic system check was not performed, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM. If diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step.
  2. Turn engine on. Place blower motor switch in OFF position. If blower motor is off, go to next step. If blower motor is on, see TEST B: BLOWER MOTOR ALWAYS ON .
  3. Switch blower to each speed position. If blower operates in any of the speed positions, go to next step. If blower motor does not operate in any speed positions, see TEST C: BLOWER MOTOR INOPERATIVE .
  4. If blower motor operates in each speed position, go to next step. If blower motor does not operate in each speed position, see TEST D: BLOWER MOTOR MALFUNCTION .
  5. Place blower motor switch in maximum speed position. Place mode switch in MAX position. If recirculation door moves to recirculation position, inspect wiring system and harness connectors for loose, damaged or poor connections. If recirculation door does not move to recirculation positions, see VACUUM CONTROL SYSTEM  under SYSTEM TESTS.
