Removal & Installation

Recover the refrigerant. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove the front fender upper diagonal brace.
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Remove the radiator. Loosen the condenser tube nut from the condenser. See Fig 1. Disconnect the condenser tube from the condenser. Remove the A/C compressor hose block fitting nut from the condenser.
Disconnect the A/C compressor hose from the condenser. Tilt the top of the condenser to the rear of the vehicle and lift up to remove the condenser. See Fig 2. Ensure the lower rubber mounts stay in place in the vehicle. Remove the upper rubber mounts from the condenser.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
