Removal & Installation (Recirculation Door)

  1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. See HVAC MODULE ASSEMBLY . Disconnect the vacuum line from the recirculation actuator. Lift the retaining tab and slide the recirculation actuator off the mounting slides. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect the recirculation actuator plunger rod from the recirculation actuator lever and remove the actuator. Remove the recirculation housing retaining screws. Remove the recirculation housing from the HVAC module assembly. Remove the recirculation door from the recirculation housing. See Fig 1.
  3. To assemble, install the recirculation door. Align the retaining tabs and install the recirculation housing to the HVAC module assembly. Install the recirculation housing screws. Tighten the screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Connect the recirculation actuator plunger rod to the recirculation actuator lever. Position the recirculation actuator on to the mounting slides of the HVAC module assembly.
  5. Ensure that the lock tab locks the recirculation actuator in place. Check for any binding at the recirculation actuator lever. Connect the vacuum line to the recirculation actuator. Install the HVAC module assembly. See HVAC MODULE ASSEMBLY .
