Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

DTC B1004 may be stored as history without affecting operation of control module. If stored only as a history DTC and not retrieved as current, DO NOT replace control module. If this DTC is retrieved as a current DTC, replace control module. DTC B1004 will never set as current during testing unless there is a non-recoverable memory failure. Intermittent interruptions to a module voltage supply circuit or ground circuit will cause DTC B1004 to set.
