Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sonoma and 2003 Chevrolet S10 Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Performing the fuel injector coil test may help isolate an intermittent condition. An injector that is shorted to voltage or is disconnected while engine is operating will cause this DTC to set. A misfire related DTC should also be set indicating which cylinder is inoperative.

For an intermittent condition, refer to INTERMITTENTS in TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES - 2.2L SONOMA & S10 PICKUP article.
