Removal (2.2L)

NOTE:
Numbers in parenthesis correspond to numbered components in referenced illustrations.
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is located on intake manifold, below throttle body. See Figure . Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator, air cleaner intake duct and vent hose.
- Disconnect the cruise control cable (2) from the throttle body (3) and the accelerator bracket (1). See Figure .
- Disconnect the cruise control cable (2) from the throttle body (3) and the accelerator bracket (1). See Figure .
- Remove the 2 accelerator bracket nuts (3). See Figure .
- Remove the accelerator bracket (2) from the throttle body (1). See Figure .
- Disconnect the MAP sensor harness connector.
- Remove the MAP sensor (2) from the intake manifold. See Figure .
- Inspect the MAP sensor and seal for damage. If the MAP sensor seal is damaged, the MAP sensor must be replaced.
