Removal & Installation

- Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor is located on top of the fuel sender assembly. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK .
- Disconnect Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor harness connector.
- Remove fuel tank pressure sensor. See Fig 1 .
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
- Inspect for leaks by using the following procedure.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position for 10 seconds.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position, with the engine OFF.
- Check for fuel leaks.
