Removal (2.2L)

- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is located on right rear of engine, between heater hoses. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Place a drain pan under the drain cock.
- Open the radiator drain cock.
- Drain the coolant system to below the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.
- Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector.
- Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
