Removal (2.2L)

  1. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is located on right rear of engine, between heater hoses. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Place a drain pan under the drain cock.
  4. Open the radiator drain cock.
  5. Drain the coolant system to below the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.
  6. Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector.
  7. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
