Camshaft Position Sensor: Installation

  1. Lubricate the "O" ring with clean engine oil. Replace the "O" ring if it is damaged.
  2. Install the CMP sensor. Tighten the retaining bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the sensor harness connector.
  4. Install the power steering pump. Tighten mounting bolts and hoses to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install accessory drive belt. See Figure .
  6. Install upper engine mount.
  7. Fill power steering with power steering fluid and bleed as necessary.
