Ignition Coil Housing (2.2L): Installation

  1. Ensure the interconnect and seal are lined up and install Ignition Coil Module (ICM) in ignition coil housing. See Figure .
  2. Install the ICM retaining screws. Tighten the retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the ICM harness connector.
  4. Install the ignition coil housing to the camshaft cover.
  5. Install the ignition coil housing retaining bolts. Tighten the retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Install the accelerator bracket (2) on the throttle body (1). See Figure . Tighten the accelerator bracket nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Connect the accelerator control cable (3) to the throttle body (4) and accelerator bracket (1). See Figure .
  8. Connect the cruise control cable (2) from the throttle body (3) and the accelerator bracket (1). See Figure .
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator, air cleaner intake duct and vent hose.
