Removal & Installation

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is located at the right rear of engine, between heater hoses.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Drain the coolant system to below the ECT sensor.
- Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector.
- Carefully remove the ECT sensor. See Fig 1.
- To install, reverse removal procedures. Coat the threads using sealer (P/N 9985253), or equivalent. Tighten ECT to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Refill the engine cooling system.
