Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located on the right front of engine, above starter.

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the front air deflector, if applicable.
  4. Remove the starter.
  5. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor harness connector.
  6. Remove the CKP sensor bolt and CKP sensor. See Fig 1.
