Fuel Pressure Regulator: Removal

Fuel pressure regulator is mounted to the fuel rail.
- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE (GASOLINE) .
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the fuel pressure regulator. See Figure.
- Place a shop towel under the fuel pressure regulator to catch any fuel spillage.
- Remove the retaining bolt from the fuel pressure regulator.
- Remove the fuel pressure regulator. See Figure.
- Remove any seal or seal material left on the fuel rail.
