Low Pressure Regulator: Removal

- Relieve the CNG fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE (CNG) .
- Remove the battery, air cleaner outlet duct and the air cleaner assembly.
- Disconnect the fuel line from the LPL fuel inlet elbow. See Figure.
- Remove the retaining bolt from the fuel pressure regulator.
- Remove the fuel feed hose from the LPR using a twisting motion.
- Disconnect the LPL harness connector.
- Remove the LPR/LPL mounting bracket nuts.
- Remove the LPR/LPL assembly from the vehicle.
- Remove the LPR and LPL mounting bolts.
- Remove the LPR/LPL assembly from the mounting bracket.
- While holding the union with a wrench, rotate the LPL to separate the components. See Figure.
