High Pressure Regulator: Installation

- Connect the coolant inlet and outlet hoses to the HPR.
- Remove the hose pinching clamps from the coolant inlet and outlet lines.
- Position the HPR through the mounting hole.
- Connect the HPR fuel outlet line to the HPR using a NEW "O" ring face seal. Lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. Tighten the fuel line fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the mounting nut to the HPR. See Figure. Tighten the HPR mounting nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the HPL to HPR fuel line to the HPR using a NEW "O" ring face seal. Lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. Tighten the fuel line fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the HPL power harness connector.
- Start the engine. Check for CNG fuel leaks at each serviced fitting using the Combustible Gas Detector (J 45878), or equivalent.
- Install the vent hose to the HPR. Tighten the clamp to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Raise the rear seat.
- Check the coolant level. Add coolant as needed.
- Install the fuel line at the fuel filter inlet fitting using a NEW "O" ring face seal. Lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. Tighten the fuel line fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the fuel line at the HPR fuel outlet fitting using a new "O" ring face seal. Tighten the fuel line fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. See Figure.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Start the engine. Check for CNG fuel leaks at each serviced fitting using the Combustible Gas Detector (J 45878), or equivalent.
- Install NEW seal, filter and spring.
- Install HPR inlet fitting using a NEW "O" ring. Lubricate "O" ring with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. Tighten HPR inlet fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect HPR-to-HPL to HPR using a NEW "O" ring seal. Lubricate "O" ring with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. Tighten fuel line fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the HPL power harness connector.
- Start the engine. Check for CNG fuel leaks at each serviced fitting using the Combustible Gas Detector (J 45878), or equivalent.
- Install the vent hose to the HPR. Tighten the vent hose clamp to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Raise the rear seat.
