Fill Valve: Removal

NOTE: If the fill valve is being replaced due to a leaking condition, check the fill line union check valve for proper operation.
NOTE: The numbers in parenthesis correspond to numbered components in referenced illustrations.
  1. Relieve the CNG fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE (CNG) .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the trunk trim panel.
  4. Remove the cargo net, the cargo net knobs and the left wheelhouse carpet.
  5. Loosen the fill valve boot clamp and peel back the boot.
  6. Disconnect the fill line (3) at the fill valve (5). See Fig 1.
  7. Remove the fill valve retaining nut (1). See Fig 1.
  8. Remove the fill valve from the fill door assembly. See Fig 2.
  9. If fill valve filter is to be changed, see FILL VALVE FILTER .
