EVAP Canister: Installation

CAUTION: The charcoal canister may have released carbon particles which caused this part to fail and may cause damage to other components. Check the charcoal canister for loose carbon before returning the vehicle to service.
  1. Snap the EVAP canister retainer onto the EVAP canister. See Figure.
  2. Install the end of the EVAP canister into the tab on the body. See Figure.
  3. Install the attaching bolt to the EVAP canister retainer. See Figure. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Reconnect the hoses to the EVAP canister. See Figure.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
