DTC B2805: Steering Wheel Controls

NOTE: The number below refers to the step number of the diagnostic table.
  1. 2  - This step verifies that one of the temperature switches of the steering wheel controls is active. The value given is the normal condition that exists when no switch is activated.
  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After performing system check, go to next step.
  2. Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, observe STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS parameter in DASH INTEGRATION MODULE data list. If scan tool indicates 0-7 counts, ensure counts match switch position. See STEERING WHEEL CONTROL COUNTS  table. Also check wiring and connectors for intermittent loose wires and/or poor connections and go to step  3. If scan tool indicates anything other than 0-7 counts, replace steering wheel controls. See STEERING WHEEL CONTROL SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.

  3. Use scan tool to clear DTCs. Operate vehicle and verify that DTCs do not reset. If DTCs reset, return to step  2. If DTCs do not reset, system is okay.
